In the year 313 C.E. Constantine declared Christianity to be a legal religion with his endorsement, and in 325 C.E. he called the church leaders together at Nicaea. This wasn’t the first gathering of leaders, nor was it the last, but with this gathering the centrality of the government and doctrine of Christianity were set, right or wrong. By that time both church government and doctrine were far removed from their origins 300 years earlier. This tape set looks at those years of change, the heresies encountered, and the influence that the “church fathers” had on doctrine. The study is disturbing, but the message is clear; without the foundation of the Torah as an absolute, the people flounder in their own thoughts.
